Superior Corrosion Resistance with PTFE CoatingThis micro spatula is coated with PTFE, granting it excellent corrosion resistance and making it inert to most chemicals encountered in laboratories. The stainless steel core ensures lasting durability, while the non-stick PTFE surface allows for easier sample transfer and effortless cleaning after autoclaving.
Precision and Versatility in Sample HandlingWith both a spoon end and flat spatula end, this instrument offers maximum versatility for diverse laboratory applications. The small head width and 150 mm length allow precise operations in confined spaces, ideal for measuring, mixing, or scraping tiny sample amounts in chemical and food labs.
FAQs of PTFE Coated Stainless Steel Micro Spatula:
Q: How do I sterilize the PTFE coated stainless steel micro spatula?
A: You can sterilize the spatula by autoclaving it, as it is designed to withstand high temperatures and pressures without compromising its PTFE coating or stainless steel structure.
Q: What are the main benefits of using a PTFE coated micro spatula in a laboratory?
A: The PTFE coating provides superior chemical inertness and corrosion resistance, minimizing sample contamination risks and enhancing the longevity of the tool in harsh laboratory environments.
Q: When is it best to use the spoon end versus the flat spatula end?
A: The spoon end is ideal for scooping and transferring powders, granules, or liquids, while the flat spatula end excels at scraping, mixing, or spreading small sample volumes on surfaces or into containers.
Q: Where can the PTFE coated spatula be used safely?
A: This micro spatula is suitable for chemical and food laboratories, as it is food safe, chemically resistant, and does not react with most laboratory reagents or samples.
Q: What makes this spatula reusable and long-lasting?
A: The combination of stainless steel core and PTFE coating ensures repeated use without degradation, and the ability to autoclave the spatula means it can be repeatedly sterilized with minimal wear.
Q: How should the spatula be handled for optimal performance?
A: Holding the flat, gripped handle ensures stability and precise control during sample manipulation, reducing the risk of spills and contamination.
