Product Description

Hydraulic Adhesion Tester

Features

  • Highly repeatable test
  • Dial reading with peak indicator
  • Supplied with carry case, dollies, adhesive, electric
  • Cleaning tool

This hydraulic pull-off type tester is fitted with a flexible hose, so that test can be performed on difficult to reach area, e.g. internal or external pipe surfaces. A dolly is cemented onto the test surface and after curing pulled-off by rotating the instrument handle. The test force is displayed on the dial scale, from 0 to 25 Mpa / 0-3500 pSi (0-250 bar).

Precision Testing for Maximum Reliability

Engineered for field and laboratory use, the Hydraulic Adhesion Tester delivers dependable and repeatable results. Its direct gauge readout allows immediate strength assessment, eliminating conversion errors. The robust hydraulic system can achieve up to 70 MPa of pressure, making it suitable for various adhesion tests. Whether testing concrete, mortar, plaster, or paint coatings, this tester ensures that your surfaces meet industry standards.

Versatile and Standards-Compliant Design

Complying with ASTM C1583, EN 1542, and ISO 4624, this tester is a preferred choice for professionals in construction and civil engineering. Its standard 50 mm test head can be exchanged for different sizes to accommodate unique site requirements. Each unit is protected in a sturdy carrying case with foam padding, ensuring safety and longevity on the go.

FAQs of Hydraulic Adhesion Tester:

Q: How do I operate the Hydraulic Adhesion Tester on different surfaces?

A: The tester is operated manually using the hand pump to apply hydraulic force through the test head adhered to the surface. Begin by preparing and bonding the test head to the substrate, then steadily increase pressure via the hand pump while monitoring the gauge until adhesion failure occurs. This process can be applied to surfaces such as concrete, mortar, masonry, plaster, and paint coatings.

Q: What standardized tests does this adhesion tester comply with?

A: This Hydraulic Adhesion Tester complies with ASTM C1583, EN 1542, and ISO 4624, ensuring suitability for a wide range of internationally recognized adhesion strength assessments.

Q: When should I use different test head diameters?

A: Different test head diameters may be selected based on substrate characteristics or specific testing standards. The standard supplied head is 50 mm, but alternative sizes are available upon request to adapt to varied material surfaces or project requirements.

Q: Where is this adhesion tester commonly used?

A: The equipment is frequently used in construction sites, civil engineering projects, research laboratories, and quality control environments where accurate adhesion testing of building materials and coatings is required.

Q: What is the process for interpreting the gauge readout values?

A: The gauge provides direct measurement in kN, kgf, or lbf. To interpret results, simply note the force reading at the moment of substrate failure. This direct output streamlines reporting, minimizing calculation errors and ensuring precise quality assessment.

Q: What are the benefits of using a manual hydraulic system in this tester?

A: A manual hydraulic system offers reliability without dependency on external power sources, ensures portability, and allows for precise pressure control. This makes the tester ideal for on-site and remote applications, reducing operational constraints.

Q: How portable is the Hydraulic Adhesion Tester?

A: Weighing approximately 7.5 kg (tester only) and supplied in a robust carrying case with foam padding, the system is designed for ease of transport and durability, supporting frequent moves between job sites with minimal risk of damage.
