FAQs of CFM Combustion Tube Furnaces:
Q: How does the CFM Combustion Tube Furnace ensure uniform temperature distribution?
A: The CFM Series utilizes high-quality Kanthal or Nichrome heating elements combined with optimized ceramic fiber insulation. This design facilitates even heat dispersion throughout the chamber, ensuring samples receive consistent and reproducible thermal treatment across the entire temperature range.
Q: What safety features are included in the furnace design?
A: Safety is a key aspect of the CFM Series. Over-temperature protection and a door safety switch prevent accidents and equipment damage, allowing users to conduct experiments with confidence and enhanced protection for both samples and laboratory personnel.
Q: What materials are used for the chamber and insulation?
A: The chamber is constructed from durable silicon carbide or laboratory-grade ceramic, ideal for enduring high temperatures and corrosive substances. Insulation is provided by high-grade ceramic fiber, which helps maintain energy efficiency and stable internal conditions.
Q: When should I use this furnace for material testing or chemical analysis?
A: The CFM Combustion Tube Furnace is suited for applications requiring controlled high-temperature environments, such as sample ashing, thermal decomposition, combustion studies, or verification of material properties within a temperature range up to 1200C.
Q: Where can these furnaces be installed and operated?
A: The furnaces are designed for laboratories and industrial facilities, operating efficiently within an ambient temperature of 5C to 40C and relative humidity below 80% (non-condensing). Their robust powder-coated mild steel construction supports longevity in diverse environments.
Q: What is the process for adjusting or monitoring the furnace settings?
A: The integrated PID digital temperature controller provides precise, real-time adjustments and monitoring. Users can set the required parameters using the digital or analog display interface, which guarantees stable control throughout the heating process.
Q: What benefits does this furnace offer over conventional models?
A: With features like energy-efficient operation, uniform heating, customizable capacity, and advanced safety systems, the CFM Series delivers improved process reliability, lower operational risks, and better reproducibility for laboratory and industrial heating applications.
