Product Description
Soil hardness tester product description: Soil Hardness Meter adopts theoretical value of pressure gauge Kg/cm,directly measures soil hardness. For soil permeability, aeration and soil properties survey research. Its very convenient and accurate to use this instrument.
Soil hardness meter/Soil hardness tester test method:
1. Level the measuring soil surface, then insert top part of instrument into the soil until (opening) part.
2. Vertically pull out the soil hardness meter and read the hardness indicating value of the meter.
After finished reading the measured value, drive rotary-knob, make the indicating meter to zero.
3. Soil attached to the inside of measuring head will make the measurements incorrect. Please clockwise rotate (opening) part, take down round sleeve, rotate to the fixed position after cleaning up, then can measure again.
4. Hardness indication range: 0-40mm, 0-500kg/cm
Efficient Soil Compaction MeasurementThe SOIL HARDNESS TESTER offers quick and accurate evaluation of soil compaction levels, critical for crop management, construction, and research. The direct analog readout and sturdy design make it suitable for use in harsh outdoor conditions as well as controlled laboratory environments. Its factory calibration ensures reliability, while convenient recalibration maintains precision over long-term use.
Portable and User-Friendly DesignCrafted with a high-impact ABS body and equipped with a stainless steel conical probe, the tester weighs just 450 grams and fits easily into its protective carry case. Its manual, power-free operation allows for simple deployment wherever soil testing is required, from remote farm fields to civil engineering sites.
FAQs of SOIL HARDNESS TESTER :
Q: How do I properly use the SOIL HARDNESS TESTER ST-40 in the field or laboratory?
A: To use the tester, insert the conical stainless steel probe into the soil vertically until the desired depth. Read the analog dial for soil hardness, measured from 0 to 40 kg/cm. Ensure that the probe enters the soil smoothly for consistent readings.
Q: What are the main benefits of using a handheld soil hardness tester like the ST-40?
A: This device provides immediate, accurate compaction measurements, enhancing decisions in agriculture, civil engineering, and soil science. Its portable design and manual operation make it suitable for diverse testing environments without needing electricity.
Q: When should I consider recalibrating the soil hardness tester?
A: Recalibration is recommended if the readings become inconsistent, after prolonged use, or following any impact to the device. Factory calibration ensures precision, but periodic recalibration preserves measurement accuracy over time.
Q: Where can the soil hardness tester be effectively employed?
A: The tester is designed for both field use, such as farms and construction sites, and laboratory analysis in soil science applications. Its robust build allows reliable performance in a wide temperature range from -10C to +50C.
Q: What is the process for obtaining accurate soil hardness readings?
A: Position the probe vertically in undisturbed soil and steadily insert to the required depth. The analog dial displays compaction value in 1 kg/cm graduations, allowing for direct readout and easy documentation.
Q: Is any power source required to operate the SOIL HARDNESS TESTER?
A: No power source is necessary; the tester operates completely manually, making it ideal for use in locations lacking electrical infrastructure.
