Product Description
12 Position PP Vacuum Waste Container
Disposable solvent resistant polypropylene waste container, for 12-port manifold, greatly simplify sample preparation, solvent disposal, and final clean-up of the manifold. The liner is designed to contain all liquids used in SPE sample preparation. Place the disposable liner into the glass vacuum chamber, and replace the manifold lid. Just prior to final elution, the liner, containing the waste solvents, is removed from the vacuum chamber. Waste solvents should be properly discarded from the container. It can be cleaned and re-used a number of times, prior to discarding. 12 Position PP Vacuum Waste Container

Secure, Leakproof OperationA robust gasket and leakproof construction keep vacuum integrity intact and minimize the risk of spills. The opaque white/clear design with molded volume graduations facilitates quick volume checks, contributing to safer, more precise laboratory waste handling.
FAQs of 12 Position PP Vacuum Waste Container:
Q: How is the 12 Position PP Vacuum Waste Container typically used in a laboratory?
A: This container is primarily used to collect waste generated during vacuum filtration processes. With twelve independent ports, it supports simultaneous filtration setups, making it highly efficient for labs conducting multiple experiments at once.
Q: What makes this vacuum waste container suitable for handling chemicals?
A: Constructed from polypropylene (PP), the container is highly resistant to most laboratory acids, bases, and solvents, ensuring it can safely contain a variety of chemical wastes without degrading or reacting.
Q: When should the vacuum waste container be sterilized, and how?
A: The container should be sterilized before initial use or when switching between incompatible waste types. It can be autoclaved at temperatures up to 121C, ensuring thorough sterilization in line with laboratory safety protocols.
Q: Where is this vacuum waste container best implemented within laboratory workflows?
A: Its compact and adaptable design means it fits well on standard laboratory benches and under fume hoods, making it ideal for use in clinical, research, and educational laboratories requiring simultaneous multi-sample filtration.
Q: What is the process for connecting laboratory filtration tubes to this waste container?
A: Each of the twelve ports features a standard diameter compatible with most laboratory filtration tubes. Users simply connect the tubing from their filtration setup to the desired ports, ensuring a secure and leak-free fit.
Q: How does the leakproof design benefit laboratory operations?
A: The integrated gasket and secure lid prevent leaks and maintain vacuum conditions throughout use. This safeguards laboratory personnel from exposure, preserves sample integrity, and minimizes the risk of spills or contamination.
Q: What are the key benefits of choosing this vacuum waste container over single-port designs?
A: By accommodating multiple simultaneous filtration processes, this container increases laboratory throughput, reduces the need for multiple containers, and helps maintain an organized workspace, ultimately saving time and resources.
